Special Edition from Linwood Educators

The latest edition of the NJAET Journal is now online. Check out the Spring Journal for articles by the following teachers from Linwood Public Schools.

  • Dr. Frank Rudnesky, principal of Belhaven Avenue School, is an enthusiastic technology advocate, but not just for technology's sake. His article lays out how a school should think if it is to empower teachers to be true leaders for instructional technology.

  • Ms. Elizabeth Moss, fifth grade teacher, went from being fearful of technology infringing on her classroom, to embracing its promise, and she shares how she changed as a result of that journey.

  • Mrs. Barbara Quinn, world languages teacher at the elementary school, recounts how she became convinced of the power of technology despite an ititial skepticism of its relevance to language teaching at the K-4 level.

  • Mr. Michael Breslow is a National Board Certified middle school science teacher. For Mike, technology has always come easy, but what he learned about how to truly excite his students is a lesson on the value of planning.

  • Mrs. Heidi Derbyshire, elementary teacher, asks and answers the questin of whether or not technology has a place in the elementary classroom.

All this and more is in the Spring Journal, so check it out.
